Chief Operations Officer
Sean started his own business at the age of 18, in the bowling industry. Over 20 years, it grew to include multiple locations, and Sean proved to be a top performer in the industry.
In 2003, Sean went to work at a leading bowling distributor. Within two years he was promoted to President. During his time he introduced and implemented cutting-edge technology and systems that enabled better controls and new processes to help the company reach its goals.
Sean joined Blumark soon after its creation in 2011 to oversee and manage the marketing department. With the rapid growth and development of the company, Sean’s role expanded. He quickly took over the position of Chief of Operations while maintaining the head of marketing. His abilities and prior experience in business matched Blumark’s need for growth and innovation. He has since matched Blumark’s progress by implementing multiple business strategies for development and improvement.
Sean is married, with two children. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf.
Megan is currently the Operations Manager for Blumark, as well as the head of the Business Processing Department. She does everything from managing daily business operations and staff to monitoring the processing of investment applications, account transfers, and account servicing items.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Davenport University and over 10 years’ experience with working in offices from various industries. Megan has been with the company since 2013, loves being a part of the Blumark family and looks forward to what the future holds!
In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family, as well as cooking and trying new things.
Mitchell joined Blumark in May of 2015 as an intern and quickly impressed the team with his careful, detailed approach to solving complex financial situations. He was brought on full-time as the Planning Specialist in December of 2015. Mitchell is primarily responsible for organizing the initial interactions with clients and aiding the advisor team with building financial plans. Along with assisting the financial planning department and researching items for the investment committee, Mitchell plays a key role in supporting the financial advisor team with daily operations.
Mitchell completed his Bachelor of Science in Finance in August 2016 from Ferris State University. He loves working with animals and is an avid sports fan. You can find him in his spare time at a sporting event, or on the farm.
Katrina manages the client experience department with high communication for clients and the Blumark team. She focuses on scheduling, meeting communication, and document request. As a part of the operations team, she works on initiatives to help better the internal processes.
Katrina graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, with a focus on interpersonal and small group communication.
In her spare time, Katrina enjoys camping and being outdoors with. In the fall of 2018, Katrina and husband, Cameron expanded their family by adding a beautiful baby boy.
Mikaila started at Blumark as an intern during the summer of 2017 and after she graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance, she joined the team full time in July 2018. In her short time with Blumark, Mikaila quickly adapted to working with the team and interacting with clients. Her main focus is to engage with clients before meetings to ensure all necessary materials are prepared and often joins in on client meetings with advisors to absorb information and to continue learning about financial planning. She works to accommodate client requests in their everyday financial situations.
Mikaila enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her two dogs. In her free time, she plays golf and often attends Michigan State football and basketball games. Go green!
Angela started with Blumark in early 2019 jumping right into her role as an Insurance Specialist within the company’s business processing department. She is in the process of obtaining her bachelor’s in business from Oakland University with a minor in dance.
Prior to joining Blumark, she had gained experience in the Financial Services industry working for a prominent Insurance company to attain her Life, Accident and Health Insurance Licenses. Unfortunately, Angela’s father passed away at a young age, causing a “fire to burn” in her heart about the importance of Life Insurance. She handles all the Life and Disability insurance applications for Blumark. Attention to detail and providing the utmost client experience throughout the process is Angela’s main goal. Helping keep the clients informed and educated on the products and services they are receiving is very important to her as well.
Angela has a young, beautiful girl, who not surprisingly, loves to dance as well. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on the lake/boat with family and exploring Michigan’s local Metroparks. She also enjoys hot yoga at a cool, 95 degrees!
Accounting & Special Projects
Margaret has been working with Blumark since 2013. She is a graduate of Wayne State University with a Liberal Arts degree.
Her previous role as the Treatment Coordinator at an Orthodontist’s office has benefited Blumark with her natural ability to create and build policies and procedures and successfully implement them seamlessly. She has held many valuable roles at Blumark using her skills in helping advance the overall mission and vision of the company.
Her current role within Blumark is in the accounting department where she works on accounts receivable and payable. She works closely with vendors and product companies to obtain general information for clients. Daily, she works on special projects to help improve the client process and overall customer experience.
In her downtime, Margaret enjoys spending time with her three children and her husband, Shannon. She loves to travel with her family and experience new adventures.
Dawn joined Blumark in January of 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Oakland University, achieving National Dean’s List recognition. She is also an alumna of The Institute of Children’s Literature in Connecticut. Having a science background, she brings an attention to detail to her work here at Blumark. She is enjoying the challenge of learning the Finance Industry and currently works within the business processing department. She is also an integral part of making Blumark a paperless firm.
Dawn is an avid sports fan and a former all-state athlete. She has shared her love of sports with her 4 children and loves to watch them compete. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband. Together they would like to attend a Major League Baseball game at every ballpark in the United States.
Al has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Walsh College with a major in Finance. He has earned the Enrolled Agent (EA) designation granting him the ability to represent taxpayers before the IRS. He is excited to join the Blumark tax team. His current role with Blumark is to assist in tax planning and tax preparation. He has previously assisted hundreds of taxpayers around the country with an assortment of different tax problems. He has over 5 tax seasons of experience preparing both personal and business tax returns. He is experienced at helping clients who have a tax liability determine their best available options.
He is married with two children and plays golf and bowling. In the summer he enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team.
Robin is responsible for strategically communicating the Blumark brand through all facets of marketing including, but not limited to our website, e-marketing, social media, collateral materials, client appreciation events, and conferences.
She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management from Morehead State, KY.
Robin is a dual citizen of Canada and the USA. She is a highly skilled international bowler where she represented Team Canada for 12 years before retiring from international play. She has traveled the world for bowling and has won many medals along the way.
She likes playing golf, wine and traveling as much as possible. Robin is married and has one step-daughter who is a collegiate competitive cheerleader. In her free time, her and husband enjoy experiencing new cultures, learning new things and adding new stamps to their passports. She looks forward to her next adventure soon.
Julie is currently employed at Blumark as the Marketing Coordinator. Her role includes communicating the Blumark Brand through marketing including e-marketing, client appreciation events and tradeshows. She has an Associate’s Degree from Delta College in Saginaw, MI and has fifteen years of experience in the medical field.
Julie enjoys bowling and competing nationally on the Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tour. When she is not competing, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
